Paper No.6
THE attraction paradox
What if the organisations that attract the right people are not the ones trying to attract everyone — but the ones courageous enough to be unmistakably themselves?
THE IDEA
Every organisation wants to become more attractive. Many invest in marketing, recruiting or innovation. But attraction rarely begins with visibility.
It begins with identity.
Great organisations know exactly who they are. They are not remembered because of everything they offer, but because of what they consistently represent. Clarity creates recognition — and recognition creates trust.
Innovation remains essential. But growth should expand what an organisation does, never dilute who it is. Every new product should strengthen the story the organisation is already telling rather than forcing it to tell an entirely new one.
This is particularly important in community-driven organisations. Products can be launched in a day. Belief cannot. Belief develops through personal experience, conversations, observation and trust. Stories turn individual experiences into collective conviction.
Perhaps that is the true paradox of attraction: The more clearly an organisation knows who it is, the less it needs to chase attention.
The right people recognise themselves in it.
